Enrollment for Current School Year (2021-22)

If you do not yet have a school offer or school assignment for the 2021-22 school year, please call or text (510-879-4600) or email (enroll@ousd.org) the Student Welcome Center. Text and email are the fastest ways to get a response. We look forward to welcoming you to Oakland Unified!

Enrollment for Next School Year (2022-23)

Applications for Fall 2022 are now open! Apply by February 5, 2022.  

The steps for enrollment are below:

1. Explore - Use OaklandSchoolFinder.org to explore public school options in Oakland.

2. Apply - Submit an application at ousdapply.schoolmint.net between November 16, 2021 and February 5, 2022.

3. Confirm - After you receive your offer on March 11, 2021, accept (or decline) your school offer by March 25, 2021.

4. Register - Online registration and/or registration paper forms will be available in Spring 2022.

Student Welcome Center Information

The Student Welcome Center closed to in-person visits on March 16 and will remain closed until further notice, but we are available by phone, text, and email.
